From schools inspiring the next generation, to businesses reducing waste and community groups creating lasting change, the awards celebrate those taking practical action to make Brisbane a cleaner and more sustainable city.

Whether you’re diverting waste from landfill, repairing and reusing materials, composting, educating others or creating innovative circular solutions, we want to hear your story.

About the Awards

Launched in 2020, the WasteSMART Brisbane Awards support Brisbane City Council’s Waste Smart Strategy and are delivered in partnership with Brisbane Sustainability Agency.

The awards recognise practical, innovative actions that reduce waste, inspire others and help create a more circular Brisbane.

Finalists and winners are celebrated each year at a special awards ceremony at Brisbane City Hall.
