Nominations open for the WasteSMART Brisbane Awards

The WasteSMART Brisbane Awards are dedicated to recognising businesses, individuals and groups going above and beyond for our local environment.

Developed by Brisbane City Council, the awards champion the achievements of residents, communities and businesses who undertake ‘waste smart’ activities and practices to create a clean and green Brisbane.

These awards have been introduced in 2020 to align with Council’s Waste Smart strategy for the city. Brisbane Sustainability Agency are partnering with Council to deliver the awards.

Who is eligible?

Businesses, individuals, groups, schools and kindergartens in the Brisbane local government area can enter the awards.

To be eligible for the 2020 awards, the ‘waste smart’ activity needs to have been carried out in Brisbane between 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2020.
