Brisbane Sustainability Agency is establishing a panel of preferred Building Contract suppliers for it’s Flood Resilience Programs and is seeking proposals from licensed residential builders for the quoting, implementation and reporting of flood resilience works.  

What is the Flood Resilient Homes Pilot Program?

The Flood Resilient Homes Pilot Program is an initiative of Brisbane City Council, delivered in partnership with Brisbane Sustainability Agency.

The Flood Resilient Homes Pilot Program is designed to help residents prepare for, live through and recover from overland flow flooding, and is currently being trialled in locations across the city that have a history of this type of flooding.

As part of the program, residents receive a free Home Service by flood-resilience experts, followed by recommendations which may include works to increase the flood resilience of a property funded through the Incentive Scheme. These works are designed by architects and undertaken by licensed builders, of which Brisbane Sustainability Agency are seeking proposals for.

Who are we looking for?

Successful applicants will have demonstrated expertise and capacity to carry out building work as part of the program, including experience with flood-resilient building techniques and materials and excellent customer service. We encourage local providers to apply.

The program completes between 30-50 properties per year and the Building Contractor would be required to manage up to 5 small-medium size works simultaneously upon acceptance of quote and issuing of purchase orders. Works would be offered for quoting as required by the program’s delivery schedule.
