Flood Resilient Homes Program Request for Proposal

As part of the Flood Resilient Homes Program, Brisbane Sustainability Agency is establishing a panel of preferred Building Contract suppliers and is seeking proposals from licensed residential builders for the quoting, implementation and reporting of flood resilience works.

What is the Flood Resilient Homes Program?

The Flood Resilient Homes Program is an initiative of Brisbane City Council, delivered in partnership with its sustainability agency Brisbane Sustainability Agency.

This Program is designed to help Brisbane residents prepare for, live through and recover from overland flow flooding events.

The Program focuses on properties impacted by overland flow flooding, but properties are assessed to the highest known level, which may include riverine or creek flooding.

Who are we looking for?

Successful applicants will have demonstrated expertise and capacity to carry out building work as part of the Program, including experience with flood-resilient building techniques and materials, and excellent customer service. We encourage local providers to apply.

The Program completes between 30-50 properties per year and the Building Contractor would be required to manage up to 5 small-medium size works simultaneously upon acceptance of quote and issuing of Purchase orders. Works would be offered for quoting as required by the Program’s delivery schedule.

Proposals are to be based on the provided response template and must address every question.
