Healthy Cities Community Planting
Come and join us at Archerfield Wetlands as part of the Peaks to Point Festival
- Free event
Join us for a free community planting day at Archerfield Wetlands as part of the Peaks to Point Festival.
This planting event is part of the Peaks to Point Festival and is proudly funded through the Bupa Healthy Cities Program. Healthy Cities supports people’s health and wellbeing in a changing climate and helps communities make the connection between healthy environments and healthy lives.
Archerfield Wetlands is home to more than 170 bird species and this planting will focus on native shrub and infill planting to improve habitat and provide food and shelter for the birds that rely on the wetlands.
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or trying bushcare for the first time, this is a great opportunity to get outdoors and contribute to the ongoing restoration of the wetlands.
