Do you know someone making a real difference when it comes to reducing waste in Brisbane? It’s time to celebrate the changemakers helping to make our city cleaner and more sustainable.
Brisbane City Council’s WasteSMART Brisbane Awards are back for 2026 – recognising everyday heroes across our community who are going above and beyond through composting, recycling, repurposing and innovative waste reduction initiatives.
With 12 award categories and over $4,000 in prizes, there’s a category for everyone from passionate individuals to schools, early learning centres, businesses and community groups.
Nominations for the 2026 awards open on Monday 6 July 2026.
